ST Resources

This page has a PDF file on it with valuable resources to both old and new ST’s. Please take an opportunity to look it over and review the information provided within.

The PDF is available to all ST’s and future ST’s as well as those simply wanting to know what resources are available to ST’s in the club and where to find them.

These resources were compiled by Nycci Daniels.

Welcome to the wonderful position of Storyteller! As a new storyteller, we want to be sure that you have access to all of the resources that you need to make your job easier.

1. Lists:

First, let’s start with the lists you should have access to. To subscribe to the new mailing lists, go here:
Mailman List Information (http://listmx.mindseyesociety.org/mailman/listinfo/).

You are going to want to get access to Camarilla-st, along with any venue rules list (such as Awakening-rules, etc.)

2. The MST Website:

There are two important locations where you can access information on the Master Storyteller. You’ll want to make sure to review both, as they contain important information.

  1. MST Wiki (http://wiki.white-wolf.com/camwiki/index.php?title=MST) has links to the website, as well as venue and storyteller resources. Make sure to take a look at the Articles located at the bottom of the page.
  2. MST Office (http://www.mst-office.net)  is your next location. Here you can access the same information as on the Wiki, plus the Masquerade guides and addendum, articles on how to improve your storytelling style, as well as various articles on playing in the global game. Make sure to check out the links at the bottom of the page for any IC news you can use for your venue as well.

3. Wiki:

Next is going to be the Camarilla Wiki located here: Main Wiki page (http://wiki.white-wolf.com/camwiki/index.php?title=Main_Page).  There are a number of important links you should regularly review as a storyteller:

  1. Game Play Resources (http://wiki.white-wolf.com/camwiki/index.php?title=Category:Gameplay_Resources) – Here you can access the Global and Affiliate addendums, important venue settings documents and directories, as well as additional rules and clarifications (such as staking, Spirit Cruac, Gold Law, etc.)
  2. Storyteller Wiki (http://wiki.white-wolf.com/camwiki/index.php?title=Storytellers) - gives you access to all of the storytellers across the world that you can use to connect and network with. You can also access information about venues and domains.
  3. GRP (http://wiki.white-wolf.com/camwiki/index.php?title=Global_Rules_Panel) - gives up to date information on the approved custom mechanics

4. CRD:

The Camarilla Resource Database (CRD) is a resource that contains a number of important features that you will have access once you are granted your storyteller access. You can access this by going to CRD (http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/crd) .

Among the benefits of this location are the following:

  1. Files – Here you are going to have access to all of the plotkits from regional and higher. There’s a lot of them, but they cover all the venues, and you can use them as excellent templates for building your own plotkit (which we will discuss later).
  2. Ordeals – Take your ordeals! They are worth prestige, and you are required to take at least the Membership Ordeal and the storyteller Ordeal.
  3. CBDIE – The Camarilla Double Blind Information Exchange is a resource that allows you to search for character ties of all sorts without having to publicly post your information to a list.

5. The Approvals Database:

You can access the Approvals Database by going to approvals database (http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/approvals). You should contact your Mid or High Approval Storyteller to ensure that you are granted ST-level access. Once here, you can access applications by going under the Storyteller section, and Application Listing. Click on the item shown, and review the application. You are going to want to make sure leave a comment on the application, as most higher-level storytellers will not review an application that does not have a comment on it from Low or Mid approving storytellers. Also, make sure to review the level you are setting the comment at, as players are only able to see comments that are listed as Unconstrained.

My experience as an ST spans a few different positions from CST and GSA (back in the day), to the more current positions of VST, AAMST in Requiem and Jesse's go to girl for tech stuff. I keep various things on file and update as well as attempt to consolidate things.
