Join the GRP

The Global Rules Panel (GRP) is open to the public, and we hope that anyone who’s interested in watching the process will join us to see how we do things. There are a few words of warning that the team would like to communicate:

There will be frank communication over this list. Everyone on it is very professional, and a member of the Camarilla just like you, but you should expect to see us being very direct. No one will knowingly violate the code of conduct here, or broadcast secret information of any kind. We may, however, be very brutal in our estimation of some items. Please know that for the most part, members of the GRP do not actually know who created what item. We will certainly never attach someone’s information to an item, as people should have the right to keep private things private. There will be no personal attacks, and please don’t interpret anything said by the panel as a personal attack, but the goal of this panel is to trim a lot of the dross from the chronicle in coherent ways that reward player creativity while putting a stop to player abuse. To that end, some harsh criticism may be written here.

The GRP Lead (grp.lead at mst-office.net) moderates this list, and while membership is open to the entire Camarilla only those who are actually on the review panel will be able to post to the list. We want people to see how we’re operating, and maintain a quasi-open door policy about the entire membership seeing the inner workings, but too many cooks will spoil the broth. We simply cannot have everyone who joins posting on the list. Please read and enjoy.

There may be a lot of e-mails over this list. Each custom item that requires discussion after prescreen will be discussed individually, in a separate thread of its own, so that each approval can get the attention that it deserves. We hope to move at a rapid pace, to ensure that this process is over as quickly as possible, but can make no promises as to speed or quantity of e-mails. Each custom item, from every venue, will receive full consideration and will then be approved or denied as quickly as possible. No more, no less.

Please do not bother us about your approval item. We will get to everyone in as timely a fashion as possible. The moderator is under strict orders that people who pester the GRP about their approvals will get their approvals moved down to the end of the list.

On the right hand side, you’ll see a link to “Join this group”. A page will come up asking you how you want to receive the e-mail, and what name should be displayed as yours. Please enter your name and your Membership Number in this field. List members who do not list both a name and a number may be subject to removal.

You will see a description to your right, which includes a link to the Camarilla e-mail “Terms of Use.” Those terms are enforced on this list, so please take a moment to read them.
