========== Executive Summary ==========
This month has been a bit more productive in some ways, but thanks to the holidays, less so in others. There was a great deal of list traffic right after Christmas, so it’s good to see folks showing interest and concern in the venue.
Projects continued on at a relatively steady pace, and a few others got started. More details under the Project heading below.
And finally, a new hire! Frank Dometrovich has come on board as AAMST Changing Breeds and has jumped in with both feet, already reviewing some rules and writing up some settings information.
========== Projects ==========
*Bale Hound Document*
This is a settings document to handle the Bale Hounds for the remainder of the Chronicle. The aim is to provide a more distinct setting for Storytellers to use, while retaining options. There might even be some particular mechanics just for the Bale Hounds….but we’ll see.
*Blood Talon Plot*
I’ve got to get to working on this, but I’m hoping to have something for the Blood Talons out by the end of the month. Ideally. And if the Bale Hound document doesn’t kill me first (odds start at 3:1 for you betting folks, and I get a 60% cut off the top)
*One World*
I’m working with John Scott, our illustrious (or maybe infamous?) AMST Geist on this one. Three guesses as to which tribe this is for, and the first two don’t count.
*Lucky Seven*
Working on a few final decisions on how we’re handling these guys in chronicle, and we should have a final decision soon.
*Resolving Loose Ends*
This includes the Mark of Frost folks (I have your information, don’t worry), any remaining Star Children (all both of them, if that), or anything else that’s a major thing and is dangling loose out there. If folks have something that they think is big and absolutely *needs* resolved by the end of Chronicle, *gather all pertinent information* first, then send it my way. It’ll just save time, because we don’t have a great deal of it left. A year and a half *seems* like a long time, but when you factor in plot lead-in times, spacing of games, etc, that time goes by fairly quickly.
*The End*
Obviously, the end of this Chronicle is coming up. As such, it’s a bit of a hot topic, and as we’re really only going to get one shot at it, I’d like to do it properly. I’ve called for feedback both on League, and on Forsaken OOC, and have gotten a good chunk of feedback. I’m going to go through that feedback, sift for things that are workable together (and with the current overall “metaplot” that’s going on) and work up a “Chronicle End Bible” for review on League. I hope to have this accomplished by the end of February. (Unedited from original report.)
========== Other Activity==========
There has been some discussion about one or more “Forsaken Campout Weekend” events as Forsaken is woefully underrepresented at least at US conventions for 2012. I’m hopeful that at least we will have Forsaken at Grand Masquerade, and will push to make that happen. I’m in on the campout discussion, and am attempting to be helpful without being all “AMST-y” if that’s a word.
Unrelated, in real “other activity,” I’ve recently tried Pathfinder as an alternate to D&D 3.5. I have to say I quite like it so far. It’s similar to my preferred edition of D&D, but has a few changes to make it interesting, and a few things I think it takes from 4E that are useful additions without all the other things that make me dislike 4E overall.
Oh, and I finally had an “Oh, *duh*” moment and realized that Google Docs could be used to store and disseminate any plot kits or settings documents that I prefer to restrict to Storyteller access only. That was a welcome breakthrough, even if I felt a bit stupid for not thinking of it earlier.
========== Questions and Concerns==========
Just curious if there has been any traction/movement on including Forsaken at any conventions that don’t already have it offered this year? I know there’s an email thread about it, but thought to put it here to be all “official.”
